More than 100 Pakistani journalists took to the streets in Islamabad to protest against the killing. A journalist was shot dead by unknown gunmen after he interviewed a spokesman for local pro-Taliban in a Pakistan tribal area bordering Afghanistan. Muhammad Ibrahim, 44, a reporter for Urdu language Express newspaper, was killed on May 22, evening as he was returning to Khar after interviewing Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (Pakistan Taliban Movement) spokesman Maulvi Omar.
