TO GO WITH AFP STORY IN FRENCH BY PEIRRE-HENRY DESHAYES --- Whale-hunting boats are pictured in Stiene, in northern Norway, on August 18, 2008. In nearby Lofoten, the centre of the whaling in Norway, fishermen are defending tooth and and nail the practice of whaling, disparaged elsewhere in the world.
