TO GO WITH AFP STORY IN FRENCH BY PEIRRE-HENRY DESHAYES --- Leif Einar Karlsen, a whale hunter, is pictured on his whaling boat in the port of Svolvaer on August 20, 2008. In nearby Lofoten, the centre of the whaling in Norway, fishermen are defending tooth and and nail the practice of whaling, disparaged elsewhere in the world.
