IRAQ-RELIGION-RAMADAN
TO GO WITH STORY BY MARWAN SABAH
An Iraqi father sits on the floor with his son ten-year-old Gaith Mohammed as they enjoy their 'iftar' dinner which breaks their day-long fast at their home in on September 8, 2008. Children are allowed to tuck into food during Ramadan, but some Iraqi boys and girls who join the adults in fasting during the Muslim holy month are seen as young heroes in the war-ravaged nation. During Ramadan practicing Muslims desist from eating, drinking, smoking and any sexual activities from dawn to dusk during Ramadan. AFP PHOTO / ALI AL-SAADI
