GHANA-VOTE
Supporters of opposition candidate John Atta-Mills wielding tree branches and sticks gather outside the headquarters of the Electoral Commission in Accra where results in the presidential election are to be announced on December 30, 2008. With 200 of the 230 constituencies counted, the commission said Atta-Mills of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) had 52.17 percent of the ballots against 47.9 percent for Nana Akufo-Addo of the ruling New Patriotic Party.
