(FILES) A picture taken on January 1972 shows French fashion designer Ted Lapidus (C) presenting his models for the 1972 Spring-Summer haute couture collection. Ted Lapidus, Russian-born, 79, whose career soared in the 1960s and 1970s with the unisex and safari look, suffered for several years from leukemia and died on December 29, 2008, in a hospital in Cannes on the French Rivera, his family said.
