BELGIUM-CRIME-TRIAL-TAXQUET
Lawyers Luc Misson (L) and Julien Pierre (R) speak during a press conference on January 13, 2009 in Liege in reaction to the decision made at the European court for human rights in Strasbourg concerning their client, Richard Taxquet (unseen). Taxquet, one of the accused for the murder and attempt to murder state Minister Andre Cools and friend in 1991, was sentenced to 20 years detention in 2004. The European court for human rights delivered a new sentence to Taxquet today as it was deemed he did not get a fair trial because an anonymous testimony was used to judge him.
