FRANCE-CULTURE-THEATRE-FESTIVAL-AVIGNON
French directors of the Avignon international theatre festival, Hortense Archambault (L) and Vincent Baudriller and Lebanese-Canadian writer and director Wajdi Mouawad (R) give a press conference on March 18, 2009 in Avignon, southern France, to launch the 63rd edition of the festival to be held from July 7 until July 29, 2009. Mouawad after having presented two of his plays at the Festival: Littoral in 1999 and Seuls in 2008, is this year the associated artist. Since 2007 Mouawad has been the artistic director of the French Theatre at Ottawa?s National Centre for the Arts.
