BRAZIL-FRANCE-AIR-ACCIDENT
Brazilian radio ham Andre Sampaio, based in Fernando de Noronha island, talks on a mobile phone on June 2, 2009. Sampaio got and recorded a communication between pilots of a Brazilian Air Force Hercules C-130 and a P90 radar plane when they located what could be debris of the missing Air France jet that went down on June 1 in a fierce storm with 228 people on board. The sparse remains found by Brazilian air force planes scouring the Atlantic -- which included an aircraft seat -- were located 650 km northeast of Brazil's Fernando do Noronha island.
