This 30 October, 2003 Solar and Heliospheric Observatory image shows several giant sunspots crossing the face of the Sun. Late 29 October, solar scientists observed another big Coronal Mass Ejection (CME), one of the top 20 on record, which hurled another huge cloud of supercharged gas toward the Earth. The cloud is expected to reach the Earth 30 or 31 October.
