This October 26, 2014 NASA Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) image, captured by the on board Magnetic Imager(HMI) instrument, shows a gigantic sunspot(R). The sunspot region, dubbed AR-12192, is about 80,000 miles across, which is wide enough for 10 Earths to be laid across its diameter, according to NASA.
