MIDEAST-PALESTINIAN-EU-GAZA-CONFLICT-DIPLOMACY
Czech Parliament Chairman Miloslav Vlcek (C-R) and Averof Neophytou, Cypriot chairman of the parliamentary committee on foreign affairs, (C-L) visit a factory which was destroyed during Israel's December-January offensive, in Gaza City on June 9, 2009. A European parliamentary delegation of 41 MEPs arrived in Gaza to express their solidarity with the Palestinian population of the war-battered territory, which has been under an Israeli blockade since Hamas seized control of the strip in June 2007.
