(FILES) This file photo taken on November 7, 2009 shows Le Ba Hung, the commander of the USS Lassen and a Vietnamese native of Hue in central Vietnam, during a visit to Vietnam's central coastal city of Da Nang where Hung's destroyer is on an official port call. More than 30 years after he was picked up by a US warship as he fled Vietnam, Le Ba Hung has returned to his homeland as commander of a destroyer in a sign of warming ties between the former foes.
