GERMANY-RUSSIA-POLAND-PLANE-ACCIDENT
(FILES) -- A file photo taken on December 5, 2006 shows German Chancellor Angela Merkel (C), Polish President Lech Kaczynski (R) and French President Jacques Chirac reviewing the guard in Mettlach. Scores of people were killed on April 10, 2010 when a plane carrying Polish President Lech Kaczynski crashed on landing near the western Russian city of Smolensk, Russian news agencies reported. Two Russian news agencies quoted emergency officials as saying that 87 people were killed in the crash of the Russian-built Tupolev 154 passenger plane.
