FRANCE-BRAZIL-AIR-ACCIDENT
Members of German victim's families HIOP Bernd Gans (L) and Winnie Schmitt (C) attend a press conference on May 31, 2010, in Paris, on the eve of a ceremony in tribute to the victims of the Rio-Paris plane crash. The Airbus 330 crashed in a storm on its way from Rio de Janeiro to Paris on June 1, 2009 with the loss of all 228 people on board, the worst disaster in Air France's 75-year history. Many relatives of victims allege that the French Aviation Investigation and Analysis Bureau (BEA), Airbus and Air France are dragging out the enquiry to avoid admitting that the disaster was caused by a known problem with the jet's air speed monitors.
