The Informal Meeting of Agriculture Ministers will be devoted to reflecting on the future of the CAP reform and the challenges that lie ahead: anticipating the rise in population which will make it necessary to double world agricultural output between now and 2050; preserving the environment and biodiversity and combating climate change, at the same time as continuing to contribute to economic growth and job creation in the European Union.
