The law by Berlusconi's government approved at the Senate will be debated in Parliament on July 29. The law will prevent the media from reporting on official investigations until a preliminary hearing, takes and carries a potential penalty of up to 450,000 Euros for publishers and 30 days in jail, up to 10,000 Euros for journalists who publish leaked material obtained through wiretaps before the beginning of a trial.
