ARGENTINA-FRANCE-MEXICO-DOMERGUE-CIALCETA
French Yves Domergue siblings Brigitte (R), Francois(C) and Eric are seen during an homage to Yves and Mexican Cristina Cialceta at Pablo Pizurno school in Melincue, Santa Fe province on August 7, 2010. The bodies of French citizen Yves Domergue and Mexican Cristina Cialceta, kidnapped in 1976 during Argentina's dictatorship (1976-1983), were identified 34 years later, the brother of Domergue announced on July 27, 2010. The two bodies were buried in the local cemetery as NN (without identification) on September 29, 1976, three days after being found by a farmer on the side of the road in the outskirts of Melincue. The victims had been brutally tortured before been shot to death. The identification was made possible mainly thanks to a high school teacher from Melincue who encouraged her pupils to investigate the case, and to the information provided by a former civil servant who kept the file of the victim's fate all these years.
