(FILES) This handout file photo received and taken on January 6, 2010 from the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society shows the Sea Shepherd's ship Ady Gil (bottom), a wave-piercing boat formerly known as "Earthrace", after its collision with a Japanese whaling vessel Shonan Maru No. 2 (background) in Antarctic waters. New Zealand's Pete Bethune, former captain of the Ady Gil and former Sea Shepherd activist, on October 7 accused the militant conservation group of deliberately sinking the hi-tech trimaran the Ady Gil as a publicity stunt after the collision with a Japanese whaler. Sea Shepherd denied the allegations, saying Bethune was bitter over his falling out with the organisation. AFP PHOTO / HO / Sea Shepherd Conservation Society / JoAnne McArthur
