The water of the Torna creek runs in its bed on October 13, 2010 in Devecser, 160 kms west of Budapest, after the dyke of a nearby alumina plant's reservoir broke on October 4, spilling up to 800,000 cubic meters of toxic material on villages in its way. Ten days after disaster struck, locals from Devecser began to return home, but with winter around the corner their biggest fear now is not another flood, but the long, cold nights ahead.
