RUGBYU-WC2011-WAL-SHANKLIN-FILES
(FILES) In a photo taken on March 8, 2008, Wales centre Tom Shanklin (R) evades a tackle by Ireland's centre Andrew Trimble (L) during the Six Nations rugby union international match against Ireland at Croke Park, Dublin. Wales veteran Tom Shanklin warned in August 2011 that the ever-improving Pacific Island teams pose a real danger to Wales' chances of escaping from their 2011 World Cup group. Shanklin, who had been with Cardiff Blues since 2003 before retiring, scored 100 points in 70 Wales appearances, making him his country's 11th most-capped player. AFP PHOTO/ PETER MUHLY
