AFGHANISTAN-UNREST-US-MEDEVAC
A fatally wounded soldier from the ANA (Afghan Nationl Army) is Medivaced from the field by a helicopter from the 159th Brigade Task Force Thunder, before the solider departed for Kandahar Hospital Role 3 on August 19, 2011. The soldier was shot in the chest and died after arriving in the hospital. All foreign combat troops will leave Afghanistan by the end of 2014 in a process that started last month and will require the Afghan army and police to play an ever-greater role in fighting the Taliban insurgency.
