AFGHANISTAN-UNREST-US-MEDEVAC
US medic Joshua Nash reacts after stopping treatment on a fatally wounded soldier from the ANA (Afghan National Army) during a Medivac flight, in a helicopter from the 159th Brigade Task Force Thunder, en route to Kandahar Hospital Hero on August 19, 2011. The soldier was shot in the chest and died after arriving in the hospital. All foreign combat troops will leave Afghanistan by the end of 2014 in a process that started last month and will require the Afghan army and police to play an ever-greater role in fighting the Taliban insurgency.
