A man holds a funeral program for the late environmentalist and Nobel peace laureate Wangari Maathai, dancing on October 8, 2011 in front of the hearse carrying her body to a cremation center in Nairobi. Maathai in 2004 became the first African woman to be awarded the Nobel peace prize for taking "a holistic approach to sustainable development that embraces democracy, human rights and women's rights in particular."
