AFGHANISTAN-US-UNREST-MEDEVAC
A wounded soldier is taken from the field by a medevac helicopter, of U.S. Army's Task Force Lift "Dust Off", Charlie Company 1-171 Aviation Regiment, after being wounded by an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in Helmand province on October 31, 2011. The soldier suffered from fractures on his twisted right leg. According to the UN, insurgents are responsible for 80 percent of civilian casualties, with 14 percent caused by NATO and Afghan forces and the rest unknown. AFP PHOTO/ BEHROUZ MEHRI
