LUXEMBOURG-EU-SHENGEN
Portuguese State Secretary at the Interior Ministry Juvenal Silva Peneda (L) and German Interior Minister Hans Peter Friederich arrive to attend a Justice and Home Affairs Council on June 7, 2012 at the Kirchberg Conference center in Luxembourg. Home Affairs ministers are expected to address the following topics as Schengen governance, common rules on the temporary reintroduction of border control at internal borders in exceptional circumstances and establishment of an evaluation and monitoring mechanism to verify the application of the Schengen acquis and common European asylum system.
