Emergency services workers use a crane to remove pieces of a wrecked train, in Wetteren, on May 7, 2013. In the night of May 4 to 5 a freight train derailed and exploded on a track near Schellebelle, part of Wichelen, Wetteren. The train contained the chemical product acrylonitrile, a toxic and inflammable fluid that can cause breathing problems. Emergency services evacuated some 500 residents and said they would not be able to return home before several weeks. One local resident died and 49 persons were brought to hospital.
