(FILES) A photo taken on July 6, 2013 shows Berlin's mayor Klaus Wowereit from German Social Democratic Party (SPD) during a ceremony marking the French German Office for Youth (OFAJ) 50th anniversary, at Place de la Republique in Paris. Wowereit announced on October 4, 2013 in an interview to Newspaper Berliner Morgenpost he is leaving the SPD leadership and won't be a candidate to lead the party at their November's meeting. SPD and rulling CDU hold on October 4, 2013 talks on forming a "grand coalition", after parliamentary elections handed Angela Merkel a third term at the Chancellery.
