SPAIN-FINANCE-PUBLIC-DEBT-HOUSING

Anti-eviction activists of the PAH (the Platform of People Affected by Mortgage) cry as they protest against the evictions of people living in a building, in Salt, near Girona, on October 16, 2013. Forty-three people had to be evicted of the "Bloc Salt" building owned by Sareb Bank on October 16. Spain set up Sareb, a "bad bank", to buy bad assets from lenders and sell them for a profit after the euro zone agreed to finance a rescue of Spain's banks, swamped in bad loans since a property bubble imploded in 2008 plunging the country into a double-dip recession. The Strasbourg Court has blocked the eviction until October 29, 2013. AFP PHOTO / JOSEP LAGO
