SPAIN-FINANCE-PUBLIC-DEBT-HOUSING
Marima Silah of Gambia and her daughters pose for photographers after a protest gathering anti-eviction activists of the PAH (the Platform of People Affected by Mortgage) demonstrating against the evictions of people living in the building, in Salt, near Girona, on October 16, 2013. Forty-three people had to be evicted of the "Bloc Salt" building owned by Sareb Bank on October 16. Spain set up Sareb, a "bad bank", to buy bad assets from lenders and sell them for a profit after the euro zone agreed to finance a rescue of Spain's banks, swamped in bad loans since a property bubble imploded in 2008 plunging the country into a double-dip recession. The Strasbourg Court has blocked the eviction until October 29, 2013. AFP PHOTO / JOSEP LAGO
