Princess Astrid of Belgium(2nd L), smiles on October 25, 2013 at a model of the new South African Antarctic research ship, the SAS Agulhas II, which was given to her as a gift, during a visit to the ship in Cape Town harbour. Princess Astrid is heading a high-level economic mission to South Africa. Part of this event is to enhance collaboration between the South African National Antarctic Program (SANAP) and the International Polar Foundation (IPF). Astrid's brother, King Philippe of Belgium, is honorary president of the IPF. This ship is dedicated to South African singer, Miriam Makeba. (Other are unidentified officials).
