SWITZERLAND-IRAN-NUCLEAR-POLITICS-TALKS
A picture released by the European Commission shows Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammed Javad Zarif (2nd-R) and his deputy Seyyed Abbas Araghchi (R) meeting with EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton (C), Helga Maria Schmid, deputy secretary general of the European External Action Service (EEAS) and James Morrison (L), head of Ashton's cabinet, during talks over Iran's nuclear programme in Geneva on November 20, 2013. Zarif told the Mehr news agency that his talks with the P5+1 powers' chief negotiator Ashton were "good". The powers want the talks, the third since moderate Hassan Rouhani became president in August, to result in a "first phase" deal involving the freezing of certain of Iran's nuclear activities.
