FRANCE-MEDIA-HISTORY-ALBERT-LONDRES
TO GO WITH AFP STORY BY PABLO AIGUEL
People stand in front of the birthplace of late French journalist Albert Londres (on the fresco) in Vichy, central France, on June 24, 2014, during a visit some weeks ahead of its auction. A "grand reporter" and international correspondent, known also for his social investigations (prostitutes, black people, insane people, etc), Londres (1884-1932) perished at sea when the boat he was on returning from China burned for unknown reasons. Each year since 1933, the Albert Londres prize is awarded to a journalist. AFP PHOTO THIERRY ZOCCOLAN
