CANOE-FRENCH-POLYNESIA-HAWAIKI-NUI-VAA
Teams paddle in their Vaa, a Polynesian outrigger canoe, on the first day of the Hawaiki Nui Vaa race on November 5, 2014 as they leave the main town harbour of the island of Huahine. Each year, the race brings together more than 130 teams in a three stage race over three days:- the Huahine Raiatea, (44.5 km), Raiatea-Tahaa (26 km) and Tahaa, Bora Bora (58.2 km) without changing crew.
