CANOE-FRENCH-POLYNESIA-HAWAIKI-NUI-VAA
Teams paddle in their Vaas, a Polynesian outrigger canoe, at the start of the Hawaiki Nui Vaa race, on November 5, 2014 as they leave the main town harbour of the island of Huahine. Each year, the race brings together more than 130 teams in a three stage race over three days:- the Huahine Raiatea, (44.5 km), Raiatea-Tahaa (26 km) and Tahaa, Bora Bora (58.2 km) without changing crew.
