The Center for scientific and technical study of Aquitaine (CESTA/CEA) dedicated to the design of nuclear weapons, in Barp, Gironde region, southwest France, seen on October 28, 2014. The 700 hectares complex will host in the future the Megajoule laser (LMJ), which will enable French nuclear scientists to validate models of nuclear explosion without having to conduct nuclear testing, 18 years after the last French nuclear testing in Polynesia.
