ISRAEL-WEATHER-STORM
Waves hit a break wall on the seafront during a winter storm in the northern Israeli coastal town of Haifa, on January 7, 2015. As high winds battered the region and temperatures plummeted to zero, Israel police closed the two main access routes to Jerusalem several hours before the snow began falling to avoid chaos on the steep approaches roads to the city, which stands at 754 metres (2,474 ft) above sea level.
