Britain Forensics
A manual of Legal Medicine by German pathologist Johan Ludwig Casper from 1864, a compendium of illustrations of appearance and condition of the body after death, including pictures of wounds that caused death, at a press preview of an exhibition of Forensics at the Wellcome Collection in London, Tuesday, Feb. 24,2015. An exhibition at London's art-meets-science Wellcome Collection takes visitors on a journey through the afterlife of violent death, from crime scene to mortuary, laboratory and courtroom. It's a world that's familiar from movies and TV dramas. But curator Lucy Shanahan said Tuesday that the exhibition’s aim is to show the "real lives and personal narratives at the heart of forensics."(AP Photo/Alastair Grant)
