IRAQ-FRANCE-HOSTAGE
A grab taken 30 August 2004 from a video tape aired by Al-Jazeera news channel shows French journalists Christian Chesnot (L) and Georges Malbrunot, held hostage by Islamist captors in Iraq, urging the French government to revoke a ban on the Islamic scarf, less than two hours after the expiry of an ultimatum set by the kidnappers. The captors of two journalists extended the ultimatum given to French government by 24 hours, according to Al-Jazeera. AFP PHOTO/Al-JAZEERA
