US-VOLCANO-MOUNT ST HELENS
The media encamped at the Mount St. Helens National Monument is draped in clouds as is the summit of the volcano as Mount St Helens quiets down 06 October 2004. The alert level for an eruption at Mount St. Helens has been downgraded to a level two, with scientists saying steam venting may continue for days or weeks without knowing for sure whether there will be a magma eruption during that period.
