US-VOLCANO-MOUNT ST. HELENS
Visitors content themselves with hikes around the Coldwater Ridge visitors center at the Mount St. Helens National Monument as low-lying clouds shround the summit of the volcano 06 October 2004. The alert level for an eruption at Mount St. Helens has been downgraded to a level two, with scientists saying steam venting may continue for days or weeks without knowing for sure whether there will be a magma eruption during the same time period.
