Displaced people of the Akarapatti fishermen-s colony take shelter in a railway station in Nagapattinam some 350 kms south of Madras, 01 January 2005. The fishing colony of Akkrapattai was a prosperous one which boasted 5,000 homes, today it is a ghost town, following the devastating tsunami disaster which killed upwards of 125,000 throughout the region.
