VENEZUELA-COLOMBIA-FARC-HOSTAGES
A man rides his bike next to a sign showing the entrance to the city of Guasdualito, in Apure, border with Colombia, 23 December, 2007. Last Tuesady the FARC announced they would free hostage Clara Rojas, along with her son Emmanuel, who was born in captivity to her and a rebel father, and lawmaker Consuelo Gonzalez de Perdomo. FARC said they will turn the three hostages over to Chavez, who had been officially negotiating a release or swap until Colombian president Alvaro Uribe stopped those talks amid accusations Chavez broke protocol. The Venezuelan army Theater of Operations Number One --where the release could happen to take place-- is located in Guasdualito. Graffiti on the sign reads "Let's join together FBL (Bolivariana Liberation Force)". AFP PHOTO/ Pedro REY
