(FILE) The top commander of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC), Pedro Antonio Marin, better known as "Manuel Marulanda" or "Tirofijo", speaks with journalists on October 27, 2000 in Los Pozos, Colombia. The Colombian Defense Minister announced in an official statement on May 24, 2008 in Bogota that 'Manuel Marulanda' was dead.
