IRAQ-RELIGION-SABEAN-MANDEAN
Dressed in five pieces of white cloth an Iraqi Sabean mother and daughter wash their right arms during a cleansing ritual in the moving waters of the Tigris River in Baghdad on May 21, 2009. This ancient religion follows the teachings of St. John the Baptist with moving water a focal point to all their rituals.
