US stocks rose in early trade on April 20, 2010, as investors took profits on recent high earners and plunged them into resurgent financial stocks. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 24.11 points (0.22 percent) to 11,116.16 points at 1400 GMT. The tech-rich Nasdaq composite added 9.99 points (0.40 percent) to 2,490.10 and the broad-market Standard & Poor's 500 index gained 6.88 points (0.57 percent) at 1,204.40.
