Human rights groups are saying that at least 58 people were killed and 200 were injured in the protests that were sparded by a controversial plan to build a pipeline to export natural gas to the United States and Mexico through a Chilean harbor. Ten years ago the "Gas War" or the "Gas conflict" as it was known, ended with 60 dead people after riots in La Paz and El Alto and gave way to the indigenous movement led by Evo Morales.
